PCJ Invites Bids For Solar Energy Systems

ThePetroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) is inviting bids, from local andoverseas contractors, for the supply of 18 rooftop solar photovoltaic systems.
The systems will be installed at 15 schools andthree public sector agencies, the PCJ said in a release today.
“As the government of Jamaica actively seeks toreduce the national energy bill, the PCJ is facilitating the use of renewableenergy by public sector entities,” the release said.
The tender process, which is open to biddersfrom any country, is being conducted in accordance with government’s proceduresfor international competitive bidding.
Interested bidders have until 3:00 p.m. localtime on Wednesday August 14, 2013 to submit their tenders. Bids will be openedthe same day at the PCJ’s office at, New Kingston.
